Risography serves as a more environmentally-friendly alternative print process. The prints have been made with page masters, who only print onto recycled or FSC certified uncoated papers using soya or rice bran-based Riso inks.

This design is printed in light teal, yellow and fluorescent pink  (which mix to make the range of colours depicted) on munken lynx 240gsm GH Smith paper.

This piece is part of a series created using the traditional suminagashi marbling technique, an ancient Japanese art form that floats ink on water to create intricate patterns. The work explores the interplay between control and chance, as ink is dropped and shaped by the water’s movements. The resulting forms offer up a reminder of how all things—people, environments, and distant waters—are linked through invisible currents and shared rhythms.

Prints come unframed but my recommendation is a minimal mat-free glass frame in black, preferably with acid-free backing suitable for A3 sized prints.
